Remember summer camp? Days spent trying new things, making friends, and stepping away from your usual routine? We’re bringing that feeling back, this time with songwriting, good food, and a very comfortable bed.
Join us for the first Songwriter Summer Camp at the Songwriter Getaway House in Prince Edward County. This longer getaway gives you more time to settle in, work on your songs, and enjoy everything the County has to offer.
Over five days and four nights, you’ll take part in small-group songwriting workshops, spend time writing on your own, and share songs with a welcoming group of fellow songwriters. There will also be visits to a few local attractions, time to explore the area, and plenty of room in the schedule to relax.
The five-acre property is located at 193 Clarke Road, with the Macaulay Mountain Conservation Area just across the street. Sandbanks Provincial Park is nearby, along with the wineries, small towns, shops, and scenery that make Prince Edward County such a popular summer destination.
Back at the house, you can write indoors or outside, gather around the fire, stretch out in a hammock, or unwind in the outdoor wood-burning cedar sauna. All meals are included, so you can focus on writing, connecting, and enjoying your time away.
This is our first time offering a longer getaway at this property, and we’re making the most of the extra time. It’s part songwriting retreat, part summer vacation, and part grown-up summer camp, without the bunk beds or mystery meat.
Songwriters of all levels are welcome, from beginners to experienced writers. You do not need to arrive with a finished song, or even a song in progress. Just bring your instrument if you use one, your ideas, and a willingness to write.
